Welcome to University of Bath Guest Accommodation

The University of Bath Guest Accommodation offers a unique blend of convenience, comfort, and quietude, perfectly suited for visitors seeking a peaceful stay within the university grounds in Claverton Down. Rated 4.3 overall, it consistently draws praise for its cleanliness, security, and welcoming atmosphere. The simple, well-maintained ensuite rooms provide all essential amenities tailored mostly for students or solo travelers, making it ideal for short stays or work-related visits.

Guests often highlight the comfortable beds and well-furnished rooms that promise rest without unnecessary frills. While the rooms lean towards the smaller side and lack televisions, the communal kitchen spaces and lounge areas equipped with TVs provide a pleasant social alternative. The absence of daily housekeeping is compensated by attentive, helpful staff, contributing to a smoothly run experience. One minor suggestion from visitors is the addition of a hairdryer in the room to enhance convenience.

Breakfast receives particular acclaim as a highlight, described as excellent and offering good variety, giving a solid start to the day. Free parking and proximity to public transport underpin the strong value for money, with direct bus routes into Bath city center within easy reach. The location itself is tranquil, surrounded by woodland and meadows, offering scenic walks and sights such as the American Museum and Warleigh Weir just nearby, which enriches the stay beyond mere accommodation.

For those familiar with university halls, the quality here surpasses typical expectations. Yet, it remains a functional space aimed at practicality rather than luxury. Its environment is serene but not secluded, maintaining a secure feel that helps guests relax fully during their visit. While it may not suit those looking for a vibrant, entertainment-driven stay, its quiet and modest charm makes it a solid choice for visitors who value safety, comfort, and access to Bath’s cultural offerings.

The summer accommodation offers a nice and clean room, a comfortable bed, and a good continental breakfast.

The University of Bath summer accommodation offers good value for money, with well-furnished rooms that include everything needed for a short stay. The rooms and bed are on the smaller side, and a hair dryer would have been a useful addition. There’s no daily tidy-up service, but the excellent breakfast more than makes up for it. Staff were very helpful and welcoming throughout, making the experience good overall.

This place is flawless. Breakfast, location, cleanliness, and service. The rooms are situated inside the university grounds. The level of security was ideal. Even though the university is largely empty and the neighbourhood is relatively quiet, we still feel comfortable and safe while we are here. Our ensuite room is cosy and well maintained. Apart from heading out or to the restaurant for breakfast, we didn't have to leave the room for anything. There is a small supermarket on site where you can grab essentials or give yourself a nice treat. The bus stops are available within walking distance on the university grounds. They come by pretty frequently, and the wait time is short. We were permitted to park our car in the university parking lot as residents and take the bus into the city.

Rooms have everything a student would need, but not necessary a couple. The bed is just too small for two. It's generally quiet, provided noboby shuts doors at night. There is also a kitchen with everything except utensils and cutlery. If you don't have a car, the bus stop is a few minutes walk away. Otherwise Uber will happily serve you. It may be hard to find the entrance to your section the first time, so ask at the reception.

Spent 2 nights here, and for the money I cannot fault it. Free parking, breakfast, en suite, easy bus ride into Bath city centre, very clean and modern. Apart from the TV its like an ibis. The room doesn't have a tv, but if you really need one, theres 2 in the kitchen, 1 in an area with a sofa. But are you really here to watch TV when we all have smart phones and on a cheap getaway??!! I did notice when you leave the room, you did need to use your keycard against the door to lock it when leaving, maybe if I waited it would have timed out and locked. Inside it has a deadlock. Seen a lot of reviews where people moan about the bed, yeah its a 3/4 bed, but unless your 2 very large people, its fine for your average person/persons. Windows open if you need a breeze. Room has kettle, tea, and coffee, and 2 small bars of soap in the bathroom, and towels. Breakfast was great, croissants, pan u chocolat, yoghurts ( greek also )/granola, selection of cereal, toast/jam, coffee machine ( offers various coffee types )and tea, juice, cold meats, and cheese. You know, the sort of breakfast that costs £8+ each in hotels. Was spot on, and very clean and very modern where you ate. Bus service on campus running till 11pm, £2 single, or £5.60 hop on/off to use daily throughout Bath itself( prices July 2023). Cheaper than taxis. The uni is up a big hill, and I've seen people moaning about walking it. I ask myself why the hell would you, give your head a wobble!! Its £2 on a bus, £1.50 if your a student. So please ignore those daft reviews!! Prices on returns/day tickets are also cheaper if bought in pairs. Like trains offer with a duo ticket. Overall its a great price that inculdes breakfast, clean, staff are all super friendly, and a great location. Don't pass it up if you're on a budget, and spend the extra going out and making memories

Decent, especially considering it is basically halls. If you ever stayed in halls at uni you might be surprised these are quality compared to what you probably had. A bus ride out of Bath. A walk down-hill into bath takes in some good views but only the very fit or those who like discomfort would walk back up it.

I was doing some work for the University so stayed here as it was convenient. I wouldn’t stay for social purposes. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. There’s no TVs in the room but that didn’t bother me. There’s a shop on campus for groceries which was handy, I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.
